We are always looking for people to join the Trust! Our work is largely focused on looking after the glorious “TECT” field and the various community projects within its bounds. The field is situated opposite the pub and runs all the way to the railway line.
We have an orchard full of young fruit trees. Please help yourselves in the Autumn - it’s there for all residents to enjoy! There is a newly planted woodland by the railway line, bee hives tucked away in a corner and a thriving set of allotments.
Aside from the field itself, The East Chiltington Trust also organise community events such as our annual apple pressing and harvest supper and the ever popular quiz night hosted by The Jolly Sportsman. TECT also supports the Wild East Chiltington days. These encourage local children to learn about nature and their surrounding environment. They take place throughout the year.
The Trust meets three times per year and we welcome new Trustees who have an interest in community events, conservation, wildlife or who want to lend their skills to support a worthwhile cause
